- Measure the space in which you want to fit the doors
- If you are wanting to do a brick-out, consult a contractor to evaluate whether it is safe and possible,
- Ensure you have: caulk (caulk gun), shims, screwdriver/drill, and a level.
- If replacing doors, detach it from its hinges and remove the doors from the frame.
- Check for any debris/damages to the opening, and apply caulk to the inside edge of the opening, ensuring it is plumb and square.
- Carefully place the new doors into the opening, making sure they are level, using shims to make sure the doors fit correctly.
- Screw the doors into the frames, with the hinges, and apply caulk to the exterior perimeter.
