- Getting the right tools - Caulk (caulk gun), screwdriver, hammer, level, and shims.
- Remove the old window by removing any trim and caulk and taking the frame out.
- Check any damages on the opening, removing any debris and repairing damage.
- Use level and shims to ensure the new frame is level and centered and plumb and square with the opening.
- Apply caulk to the exterior perimeter, then screw the window into place when level and square and in place.
- Re-apple the trim or moulding, inspecting for any gaps or leaks and fixing any that are found.
