- Accurately measure width and height of the door and the door frame.
- Ensure you have: caulk (caulking gun), shims, screwdriver, hammer, and level.
- Remove any trim and moulding from the door and frame, looking for any damage on the frame.
- Apply caulk to the inside edge of the frame and use shims and level to ensure opening is level.
- Place your new composite door in place, making sure it is level and square and fits snug.
- Screw the door in and attach the hinges and apply caulk to the exterior edge, then re-apply any trims and moluding.
